Shane Doyle, founder of Shane Doyle Photography, focuses his love of people and wild places to capture moments and scenes that give you a glimpse into the character and uniqueness of his subjects as seen through his lens.

 

Growing up with an appreciation of the beauty of Africa, Shane was chosen to take up a positon at the world acclaimed Mala Mala Private Game Reserve after completing his BSc Agricultural degree.  Here his natural, gregarious nature and ability to turn strangers to friends within moments soon made him a highly sort after guide.  Whilst at Mala Mala, he developed a passion for photography, a perfect tool for his artistic flare.  He worked with film crews and well known photographers and has some interesting stories from his time at Mala Mala.  One treasured memory is being part of the crew that assisted in pulling down the fences with the Kruger National Park to create the greater Kruger Park.

 

A stint at the 7 star Emirates owned Al Maha Desert resort fulfilled a lifelong dream of doing Falconry. Shane worked as a specialist photographic guide and had the privilege of visiting places few seldom see.  On his return to South Africa, he settled in KwaZulu Natal and now works as a full time professional photographer.

 

His professionalism and integrity has given him a loyal client base exemplified by being appointed as the official photographer for SA Polo for the last 19 years. His ability to connect with people has made him a sought after wedding photographer capturing candid moments and special memories.  Family shoots bring out a sense of fun and his repertoire of “magic” tricks keep youngsters entertained. 

 

In 2011, this affinity with family and children enabled Shane to recognize an opportunity to bring a more candid and spontaneous style of portraiture to the school environment and it has been embraced by many schools across KwaZulu Natal and even further afield.  He is the photographer of choice for matric dances, sporting events and special occasions and the schools marketing portfolios.  He has changed the “face” of school photography and is highly sort after.

 

Another aspect of Shane Doyle Photography is his work with local businesses to promote

their products and assist with creative design elements.

 

Over the years, he has amassed an incredible collection of images, some of which are available

as limited addition, fine art prints.  He has been commissioned to create wall art for commercial

and private clients around the world and his work brings joy to many homes.

 

Shane’s passion for wildlife draws him to the wild places of Africa as often as possible as a specialist

guide, to train guides in the art of photography, to capture the unique beauty of a lodge or just to

soak in the beauty of his surroundings with his family and friends.
